Geekstart Refund Policy

Welcome to Geekstart! We like to keep things simple. Geekstart is a ticketing platform that helps independent event organizers, bands, and social groups sell tickets. Because we are a platform and not the host of the events, our refund policy is straightforward.

The Golden Rule

All ticket sales are managed by the individual Event Organizers, not by Geekstart. Because funds go directly to the people putting on the show, each event has its own refund rules. Before you buy, please check the specific event page for the organizer’s refund policy (e.g., "No Refunds," "Refunds up to 7 days before," etc.).

How to Request a Refund

If you need a refund, you must contact the Event Organizer directly:

  1. Log into your Geekstart account.
  2. Go to your Tickets page.
  3. Click on the event and select Contact Organizer.

When Geekstart Will Step In

While we generally leave refunds up to the organizers, Geekstart reserves the right to issue refunds under the following exceptional circumstances:

  • Cancelled or Postponed Events: If an event is cancelled entirely and not rescheduled, you are entitled to a refund.
  • Fraudulent Events: If an event turns out to be a scam or misrepresented, we will investigate and refund affected buyers.
Note on Service Fees: Geekstart’s small ticketing/processing fee is generally non-refundable, as it covers the cost of processing the transaction.
